Dupont Street (now Grant Ave) at the intersection with California Street in San Francisco's Chinatown, circa 1910 and present. Surprisingly little has changed over time. The "Sin Chong Building" can be seen on the opposite side on the left. All the "oriental" looking buildings were designed in a colorful style by white architects after the great earthquake of 1910 to attract tourists.
San Francisco's Chinatown is the largest Chinese enclave outside of Asia and is now one of the city's top tourist attractions.
