The rue Chénier at the junction with the Rue St. Foy in the 2nd arrondissment, in 1914 and today. The name honors the poet André Chénier. At that time there were still a wine cellar ("caves"), a bleaching ("blanchisserie"), a restaurant, a basket-maker ("vannerie"), a hotel and a grocery store. Only the hotel still exists today.
