St Michael's Church in Zgornje Duplje (Municipality of Naklo, near Kranj) was first mentioned in 1391. It was originally built in the Gothic style, and later renovated in the baroque style.

The old photograph was taken by Slovene photographer Vekoslav Kramarič. His photos appeared of Slovene places frequently appeared on postcards, which was also the reason this photo was taken. His photographs were collected and organized by the Slovene Ethnographic Museum (Slovenski etnografski muzej).
