Piastowskie housing estate
What a depressing place to live! :-(
@Lena, i dont think so. I'm also live in such a settlement (Sobieskiego, Poznan) and i have a lot of trees, spaces, shops, public transport. It;s definitely better then new settlements where developer want to earn as much as possible and builds each building not far from another
@tomasz-hejna Oh sorry, I hope I didn't offend you! I just thought it looked so grey and lifeless, but what you say makes a lot of sense! Are these buildings constructed by the state?
@Lena, it's OK :)buildings was constructed by the state, in communism (prefabricated structures). At this moment in Poland we don't have such as this situation in new buildingss conctruction. Today maybe architecture looks better, but in past important was funcionality: each settlement has few kindergartens, schools, pavilions with differnet shops, markets
@tomasz-hejna Thanks for the info, very interesting. Thinking about the functionality first would still be a good idea for today's architecture!
