Quai Ledru-Rollin (then: Quai des Tanneries) on the banks of the Sarthe in Le Mans. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were still densely packed tanners' houses where there is now a small park. Remains of the medieval city wall are still visible. The Saint Julien-Le Mans Cathedral can be seen in the background.

Unglaublich! Wo genau haben Sie gegenüber gestanden?

Unbelievable! Where exactly were you standing opposite?
