The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. These images show the Parthenon from the back. Construction for the building began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. Construction is ongoing.

Da hat sich ja einiges geändert, wurde da für die Besuchermassen aufgeräumt?

Since a lot has changed, was there cleaned up for the masses of visitors?

Ich denke schon. Es waren auch einige Bereiche abgesperrt, die früher zugänglich waren.

I guess so. There were also some areas that were previously accessible.
