The Belfast Post Office building opened in 1855. In 18991 two flag staffs were added to the roof. One was the American flag and the other was for the customs office. Both post office and customs office occupied the building. At some point mid-20th century the flag poles were installed lower on the building.
Das Postgebäude von Belfast wurde 1855 eröffnet. 18991 wurden zwei Flaggenstäbe auf dem Dach angebracht. Eines war die amerikanische Flagge und das andere war für das Zollamt. Sowohl das Postamt als auch das Zollamt besetzten das Gebäude. Irgendwann Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts wurden die Fahnenmasten tiefer am Gebäude installiert.
