The Maritime exhibit in the early 2000s was a mix of Percy Sanborn paintings, a ship model, and unrelated artifacts including a bumper sticker for a local candidate. By 2006, new flooring, better lighting and cohesive exhibits depicting various aspects of Belfast history were created. The first room our visitors enter is the maritime exhibit where they hear about the history of ship building and shipping.
