The Dinsmore Shoe Store, retail and wholesale, was located in an old wooden building and burned in early 1946. At the time, it was occupied by the shoe company, the Carroll Cut Rate Store and the Pill-Box Restaurant. It was replaced in the 1950s by the current brick building now home to Alexia's Pizza.
