This house was once owned the Summerfield family that resided in Lawrence, Kansas. The Summerfield's were one of the most prominent Jewish families in Lawrence. They contributed largely to efforts through out the town and within the university. Summerfield Hall is named after the family.The house is considered to be a single family home that contains 4,749 sq ft and was built in 1865. It contains 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. For a period of time the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta resided in this residence.
