Great place in Brussels at the beginning of the 20th century and today. The north side of the square is dominated by the "Maison du Roi" or "Broodhuis", formerly royal court, now city museum.
Presumably the flower market is being built on the old picture, which is regularly held there until today. No cars are allowed anymore. Nevertheless, the square with the numerous tourists is rarely as empty as it was back then.
