Forty merchants, mainly tailors, jewelers, goldsmiths, furriers and art book publishers, offered the visitors state-of-the-art products. The large arches opened the architectural ensemble, maintaining the beautiful view on the Seine, including the Louvre and the Trocadéro Palace. In boats on the Seine, cafés and restaurants were installed.
