With a width of 1.40 m and a height of 5 m, the house no. 39 in rue du Château-d'Eau is considered the smallest of Paris. Originally there was a passage to Faubourg Saint Martin. It is alleged that an inheritance dispute has led to the construction of the hose on this passage.
In the ground floor, a shop is located (then as now). On the first floor, which can only be reached via the neighboring house, there is a room which used to be a living space and is now used as a warehouse for the shop.
Avec une largeur de 1,40 m et une hauteur de 5 m, la maison no. 39 rue du Château-d'Eau est considéré comme le plus petit de Paris. A l'origine, il y avait un passage vers le faubourg Saint-Martin. Il est allégué qu'un litige en matière d'héritage a conduit à la construction du tuyau sur ce passage.
Au rez-de-chaussée, un magasin est situé (alors comme maintenant). Au premier étage, auquel on ne peut accéder que par la maison voisine, se trouve une pièce qui était autrefois un espace de vie et qui sert maintenant d’entrepôt pour le magasin.
