View on the center of Warburg. The city is characterized by a particularly large number of historical buildings and half-timbered houses. From left to right you can see: The church St. Johannes Baptist, the town hall, the church St. Maria and the Gymnasium Marianum.
The city was initially separeted into the old town around the castle on the Wartberg and the new town in the north developping in the 13th century. Both finally merged into a city in the 15th century and only received a common town hall in 1568, the so-called "town hall between the towns".
Vue sur le centre de Warburg. La ville se caractérise par un nombre particulièrement important de bâtiments historiques et de maisons à colombages. De gauche à droite, vous pouvez voir: l'église St. Johannes Baptist, la mairie, l'église St. Maria et le Gymnasium Marianum.
La ville a été initialement séparée en la vieille ville autour du château sur le Wartberg et la nouvelle ville au nord se développant au 13ème siècle. Tous deux ont finalement fusionné en une ville au XVe siècle et n'ont reçu un hôtel de ville commun qu'en 1568, ce qu'on appelle "l'hôtel de ville entre les villes".
