The Bab Boujloud is a city gate in the medina of Fès dating from 1913, at the beginning of the French protectorate. It replaced an original building from the 12th century. It is also known as the blue gate because of its blue tiles on the west side (facing the city center). On the other side, it is decorated with green tiles. The architecture is a mixture of ancient European influences and Islamic traditions.
In the distance, you can see the minaret of the Medersa Bou Inania, a famous Koranic school from the 14th century, on the left and another smaller mosque on the right.
