In the center of these images is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Vake Park in Tbilisi.
Until 2009 eight warrior statues were positioned around the tomb. These sculptures that comprise the Memorial of Georgian Warrior Heroes were made between 1981-85 by Georgian sculptor Giorgi Ochiauri (Georgian: ოჩიაური გოგი). Today, the statues are seated in a circle at the foot of Gori Fortress in the city of Gori (Georgian: გორი) in the Shida Kartli region.
