The former communal mill of Ath, located at the corner of Rue du Moulin and Quai Saint-Jacques, was documented as early as the 13th century and was used to grind the grain of the town's inhabitants. The current building dates primarily from its industrial reconstruction at the end of the 19th century. The Dendre River, which once powered it, was subsequently covered over or filled in. Today, the former mill has been converted into offices, shops, and apartments.
