Seine bank with the Viaduc d'Austerlitz and the Gare de Lyon, probably around 1910. The quay is called "Quai de la Rapée", commemorating a troop commander during the Ancien Régime.

The Viaduc d'Austerlitz is a bridge of the Parisian Métro across the Seine. It was created between November 1903 and December 1904. In the old picture, to the right, one can see the Gare de Lyon with its remarkable clock tower (now obscured by houses). The station with its splendid facade was built in the years 1895-1902 on the occasion of the World Exposition of 1900. Today, on the left bank is located the seat of the RATP, the French state railway company.
