Das 761st Tank Battalion auf einem M5A1 Stuart vor dem Rathaus in Coburg. 1942 gründete die Armee das 761st Tank Battalion, das hauptsächlich aus afroamerikanischen Soldaten bestand, die nach ihrem Erkennungszeichen "Black Panther" genannt wurden. Das Battalion erhielt nicht nur eine Presidential Unit Citation. Das Bataillon erhielt nicht nur eine Presidential Unit Citation, sondern auch etwa 300 Purple Hearts, 11 Silver Stars und eine Medal of Honor.

The 761st Tank Battalion on an M5A1 Stuart in front of the town hall in Coburg. In 1942 the army founded the 761st Tank Battalion, which consisted mainly of African-American soldiers, who were named "Black Panther" after their identification mark. The battalion not only received a Presidential Unit Citation. The battalion received not only a Presidential Unit Citation, but also approximately 300 Purple Hearts, 11 Silver Stars and a Medal of Honor.
