View of the Seine banks at the Île de la Cité at the beginning of the 20th century and today. From left to right you can see the bridge Pont au Change, the Tribunal du Commerce with its round tower, and the Conciergerie. At that time boat tours were offered from here. Apparently Paris was already flooded with advertising at that time.

The banks of the Seine here has recently been converted from a road to a pedestrian passage.
