In January 1910, the Seine rose 8m above the normal level. The water flooded the streets of Paris, for weeks the city offered a picture like in Venice. To be able to continue moving through the city, inhabitants used boats or hastily built wooden walkways, as here on the Avenue Montaigne.

Das war damals sicher eine spannende Zeit. Eines meiner Lieblingsbilder bisher!

That was certainly an exciting time back then. One of my favorite pictures so far!
